Nikki Dragisity, a bold new voice on the lifestyle blogging scene, invited me into her home last month to chat about her exciting new venture, "Stage at Home Mom." She is full of personality, love for her kiddos, and lots of great styling tips. Read on to learn a little more about this spunky mama & stylist!
Q: Who are ya? Tell us a little about about yourself!
A: I am a stay at home mom who loves to stage, organize and decorate homes. I've lived in New York for 10 years, but grew up in Chicago and have a love and appreciation for both styles of living. I am the proud owner of a 1904 Sears & Roebuck style home located in Westchester, NY, which is the current focus of my staging work.
Q: What's the inspiration behind "Stage at Home Mom?"
A: I realized that many people don't know how to stage their homes or think that home staging is just for selling your house. I want to provide a methodical and affordable way to stage a home to show everyone they can live in a beautiful, interesting and clutter free environment.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is best described as Urban Modern with comfortable, southwestern and geometric influences. Urban modern is a less known style because it is conflicting in nature. It includes clean furniture lines that you would see in downtown apartments but balances that with vintage pieces that are soft and warm.
Q: Where are your favorite places to shop for home décor?
A: Omg anywhere really! For bigger pieces I love West Elm and Room and Board. For smaller accents I love Target, IKEA, Home Goods, Wayfair and flea markets.
Q: Anything exciting going on with SAHM that we can look forward to?
A: My next two blogs (POPS OF COLOR & SMALL DECK STAGING) will be really fun and get everyone excited for spring!
