This weekend I had the unreal opportunity to check out the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series Chicago, and get a gnarly sunburn doing so (sorry mom). The six elite sailing teams, Emirates Team New Zealand, Softbank Team Japan, Groupama Team France, Oracle Team USA, Land Rover Bar, & Artemis Racing, raced their hearts out on Lake Michigan, just off Navy Pier, with the stunning downtown Chicago skyline as a backdrop. This is the first time in the race's 165 year history that teams sailed their state-of-the-art catamarans on fresh water. Today was, without a doubt, the better of the two racing days, with winds gusting and boats absolutely flying on all foils. Artemis Racing, the Swedish team, proved to be the ultimate champions of the weekend. Enjoy these snaps from this weekend's excitement.
